You’re conflating quality of the seat when th how they’re packed. It is actually a larger, more comfortable seat than the Polaris seats. And rear-facing does slightly elevate head. Unfortunately, the better seats are packed more densely than the Polaris seats. It’s a trade-off - better seat or more privacy (and all-aisle access).
I don’t like the HD seat arrangement, but I remind myself it’s a better seat. I prefer window seats on the HD because you have a place to stuff pillows/blankets.
Sure, I'll think about the seat cushions next time if that's all we are talking about... but getting past how you are practically in your row members grill(s)... I would take the Polaris bulkhead any day. I am 6'3", 220. (Remember when these HD getups were REAL business class? ugh). I only use +P/comp to get into these HD seats on LAX -> HAWAII. I would never pay for one.
