Flew to BOM in CW last week. Uninterested crew. Very stern, almost commanding tone in the PA announcements from IFM.
Set the tone for service throughout.
Pre departure choice of champagne or OJ, I asked if I could have water. I was told there’s a bottle in the compartment with the mirror and I should use that
Came around for meal orders without having handed out menus first
Had to ask for a drink before meal as was not asked
Call button ignored twice
Forgot a wine refill, because she got “distracted”
I stopped a passing crew member, as the call bell was being ignored, to ask them to clear my food tray as I needed the space to work, was brusquely told to wait until she was done serving someone else. Then had to ask again a few min as she walked back to the galley empty handed, right past me.
They forgot to wake my for coffee before landing and then told it was too late to get some even though the seat belt sign was not yet on - 30 min before landing
and finally, the least of my issues, but just a sign of the service standard, no gold member greeting at any point.
all these issues were spread over 3 different CC, or just one person.
Completely the opposite service compared to a flight to JNB last month. Cheerful and attentive.
