No, that’s not the case for me. Apparently, V7 created a booking reference
but never actually issued a ticket. They asked A3 to proceed with ticketing, but A3 understandably refused — after all, Volotea was selling the same fare for about half the price.
On top of that problem, I had to face, was the arrogant attitude of Volotea’s customer service.
They refused to acknowledge that I didn’t have a valid ticket, even after I politely explained the situation and asked them for my ticket number. It was only after I threatened to report them to the relevant European authorities that they finally admitted the issue and agreed to refund me, admitting they’ve been facing this problem for several days now.
P.S. They are still advertising that same fare as available for sale — which is completely unacceptable. I truly feel sorry for the passengers who will unknowingly book it, only to find out a few days before their flight that they have no valid ticket. Unacceptable. Never again will I book with Volotea.
