On a positive note, I think the F seats on the ex-TWA 757s are a few steps above the old AA F seats. I was on one of the TWA birds this evening and was shocked to hear the FA state, "I like the AA version of the bird better." Other than the larger overheads, I can't really think of a good reason to take the AA 757 over the TWA 757.
On a side note: are the TWA 757s that AA uses the ones that TWA bought brand new around 2000? That would make sense to me, since their interiors seem fairly fresh.
It seems about 50/50 here as to the ex TWA vs AA 757s....I prefer the TWA ones too. And, yes, the
oldest 757 TWA had was delivered new in 1997.
Much nicer interiors, although AA's poor cleaning practices are quickly mucking them up so as to have "fleet commonality" with AA's 757s.
