If your flight is canceled, call the hotel and explain this. They may ask you the flight number. Almost all hotels, esp when booked direct like this, will cancel for free if you ask politely, though they do not have to. I had this happen a month or two ago when major storms caused a ground stop at ORD. It was clear I wasn't going to make my connection and get to the new city in time. I called the Hyatt and explained. They were incredibly understanding and canceled it for free. When I did get to town, I rebooked it more than anything because of how gracious they were to me. I also left a review about how much I appreciated it. More hotels--esp with Hyatt which still has more consistent brand standards than some--would prefer to win your business and good word of mouth than penalize you. But you have to communicate.
