I called BA at the weekend and got them to remove all my BA FF number from the bookings and add my Finnair number, they bookings now show up in the Finnair App, and when I go to MMB on Ba's website they Finnair FF number shows there too, but when I login to my BA App the booking also show there and it says the ba membership number has been added to the booking. Flying on Thursday am so will see what physical boarding pass says upon check-in, unfortunately starting our trip in RUH so no actual ba staff at check in could make it confusing if I need to change numbers. Nervous!!
Just to reference back to this, all went swimmingly well, all boarding passes had my AY number attached, all prior seat selections stuck and now all have credited to my AY account, this was an GUF2 booking which originally had my BAC number attached. 16% of the way to OWE vs 10% I would have got with BA including the cabin bonuses. My boarding passes were showing group 1, but that was possibly because I was travelling with Mrs CB at the time. Didn't have any lounge or First Wing issues, but again, was travelling with Mrs CB who is gold. Took less than a week for the flights to post including the 3k bonus avios for reaching 12k.
