Passing through on the weekend me I noticed the IT system used to check boarding passes (the BA bit not the LHR security) was entirely new, at least in terms of its appearance. The old system looked like it was designed for Windows 3.1, whereas the new one looked thoroughly modern and simple, and - I think - pulled all relevant info together (number of guests permitted, for example). I must say, I glide through most times, turning right and heading straight for the BP check podiums as HBO with a glazed mind and eye, but I may pay more attention next week!
