I have called and was told to email, and have sent a couple of emails now without response. Any idea of how best to proceed?

Thanks!
Try [email protected] or [email protected] and explicitly request compensation. The outstation where your flight originated from actually has a fair bit of authority to issue compensations and are usually a lot more responsive
