I support the actions of ATC. I would not work for free. I don't blame them for not wanting to work when not paid.
They will not get paid in the normal cycle. Really hard if living without without much stashed away. According to enacted legislation they will get retroactive pay.
Side note, Given how much stress is on them from all angles of approach, including life or death decisions, they are not paid enough.
