Thanks and yes it’s great if you travel lightly and I have travelled many a times on the ARL but always without any luggage or even a carry on to Suvarnabhumi and depending on the time, it’s jam packed with people with a lot of luggage and taking up the whole space. Personally I would never travel on the BTS or ARL with a suitcase. I would rather pay the 400 odd baht and take a taxi or grab.
As the previous OP said unless the hotel is right on the station it might be less hassle to take a grab or taxi from the start.
