Just curious, did you see those EVA flights available for purchase on UA website? Was the pricing the same through Chase?
No. UA does not post any itinerary that has no UA in it, except mileage tickets. Theoretically any UA agent can book any flights, but they were told by UA not to do it.
I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to book almost all UA TPAC business class tickets with point boost.. And the more expensive EVA Air Intra-Asia business fares are almost all under point boost.
