Yes, besides the cleaning.



- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?



Booked entry level, upgraded to corner room with private balcony.



- How are the rooms?



Nice bright room, slept well with balcony door somewhat open. Fully equipped kitchenette, with microwave owen, Nespresso maker etc. No real freezer, but fridge with freezer compartment. No aircondition, not needed this season.



- What was good and what was bad?



Good: Location, 100 meter from the border to Basel, 10 min walk to the the river, 30- 45 min to the central of Basel. Did make all my meals in the room. No need to pay EUR 15 for the breakfast on offer.



Bad: Room for improvement on the cleaning of the room, dusty and dirty in some spots. Diffuse smell from pillows, brought out two extra pillows from the wardrobe, which solved the issue. Weak water pressure in the shower. They have problem with PFAS chemicals in Saint Louis, so did avoid the tap water.



- What about welcome drinks, welcome amenities or any other special perks?



Got a soft drink can at the reception, no alcohol as welcome drinks. Got a late check out approved to 4pm, after some discussion with a young lady who didn't like to hear that I reminded her of my status.



- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return?



Quite cheap room, EUR 62/night. Similar rate and I might return.
