P.S. I typically spend $40,000 a year on tickets for myself and family, all in paid J/F. So I'm not some schlub flying once a decade.
I'm also an Executive Platinum on AA in addition to being a UA 1K so I experience both UA's and AA's boarding processes regularly. I don't necessarily agree with the massive half the airplane preboarding concept on UA but I also don't like that schlubs infrequent or low value travelers board before other more frequent or more $$ valuable customers in AA's process. I'm also not sure I understand your complaint about UA's treatment of *G pax, at least as it comes to boarding, which is the topic of this thread. *G is in group 1, its perfectly understandable that an airline would extend preferred privileges to their own elites over those of another airline. All airlines do it. It seems strange to avoid an airline because one disagrees about a boarding process but to each their own I guess. If your argument is one of *A vs OW (which I suspect it really is) then that's a completely different discussion not suitable for this thread.
