As mentioned last week (details were sketchy at the time) I still believe this will be the case for BA, how it works in practice I'm not quite sure but what was mentioned very likely to me was everyone getting off the airbridge, "going straight downstairs before mixing, onto waiting buses", and then as above being bussed to this temporary service door to exit by baggage belt 12. Again talk of a longer term solution which hasnt even been built yet, that involves a horrendously long walk, but can't even tell you where that would be (and judging by the last 6 months those plans will probably change 7 times in the next year anyway)
interesting now that we have seen the first few flights that I can report back to my original source from the other week they seemed to have it spot on! Given that, I’ll try and do some more digging on the final bit they mentioned about the “longer term solution that isn’t built yet”, and hope its slightly better than what seems a very messy current solution.
this bussing to arrivals will be all well and good when things run smoothly, but this is Menzies and MAG we’re talking about so we all know there’s gonna be many occasions when it’ll be anything but smooth and organised
