I have also seen IHG offer some low end suites at the same number of points as base rooms; however, the limiting to only single bed room has been more common in my experience. The limiting is what I find frustrating. My IHG stays are primarily HIX with some Indigo and Kimpton mixed in occasionally for good measure.
