Have to confess to being lazy at reading Amex card benefits but this last weekend I did .... and they looked quite good.

Example ...... IC Bucharest .... book 2 get 3rd free and $125 F&B credit .... the rest is normal RA/Diamond benefits type stuff but all the same, the 3rd night and F&B credit read rather good. Amazingly ICPL also has the same offer! For a hotel that's always full and changes a fortunate per night, that's odd.

But would this conflict any with benefits booking direct with IHG? Would it cause any water down effect of Ambassador status renewal etc?

Interested if you use and benefit from these Amex promotions and have can confirm if causes any negative impact on your arrangement booking with IHG direct and your status? May be being over cautious but it reads a nice deal if it can be merged with IHG benefits.
