That said, I almost never drink in the lounge, however that doesn’t mean the selection isn’t embarrassing.
This lounge serves LX’s highest yielding customers based in ZRH, the most expensive city (or one of) to originate from in the group’s network.
No one has suggested they need Krug etc, that’d be a total waste, but for the same or similar money they could at least have a crowd pleaser. Drappier is fine but honestly they’d be better off having more variety of non-rose options.
You are right. I did get this wrong. For some reason I thought this was the senator lounge. I think the last time I drank champagne in the first class lounge was before the pandemic, so I never really paid attention, and when I saw the picture, the low-level brands did indeed make me think that this was SEN lounge not the first class lounge.
Embarrassing indeed. Reminds me of when they replaced La Prairie products with some local Zürich soap mixer.
