Considering the people that can actually enter the F lounge, basically all the HONs, everyone managed to grab a good miles deal and a few really paid for F... Saving on the champagne is actually quite an easy one. I'd say, a lot of pax have no clue about champage (me neither, I know Krug is considered good)..
Well, a number of my HON friends are Champagne aficionados
LHG are telling us the corporate customer / business model has changed, their most profitable pax are leisure travellers & i know a few of those & concur, these pax also know their Wines and expect a premium experience from start to finish, degrading the First Class lounge offering will only benefit the likes of EK
My current trip as someone not DACH based, i had a choice of via ZRH, FRA or MUC, same cost, i went for ZRH outbound & MUC inbound, given this experience i would have done MUC both ways
