Who actually knows their PNR? That's why I know my MP number.
UI/UX is a dead art and I am convinced that the people who design airports/associated services don't actually use them on a regular, let alone, road warrior basis.
I too, never even look at the PNRs, but have my, my wife's and my daughter's MP numbers memorized and can quickly type them in much faster than I could unlock the phone, open the app and find the tickets.
You know that some efficiency expert convinced UA that they could save .003 cents per transaction by forcing pax to use MBPs, and I believe that they designed this rat maze to make it more difficult to get a paper BP. Why do DL and AA still allow pax to easily get paper boarding passes? Is it just that their customer service cultures are better? These Kirby Kwality enhancements are becoming tiresome.
