Not having traveled internationally for the last 8 years, and being relatively inexperienced using a Smart Phone, I just endured a terrible experience updating/correcting a Delta reservation of ours. One of the multiple flight segments disappeared, for no apparent reason from the Delta on-line reservation screen.
The reservation is for STL > SLC > INC > CNX on 10/20, and returns from CNX > INC > DTW > STL on 11/10/25. Unexplainably the CNX to INC flight portion disappeared. When calling the Delta reservations # 1-800-221-1212, I was given hold time of about 57 minutes. I then chose to go with the one minute AI Bot automated system instead, which was a real struggle, but eventually allowed me to get the problem addressed, including assigning new acceptable seats.
Apparently, the problem was Korean Airlines (Partner) changed equipment and the associated flight number, which the automated system could not handle on its own! (???)
I am wondering if there are actually different "direct access" telephone numbers available for general Delta Miles members?
While I am at it, having the local number for Korean Airlines at Incheon and Chiang Mai would really be of great help?
