LHR to DXB: everyone is waiting at gate, tons of gate lice as always, priority boarding has started for special assistance / families with small kids / group 0. Middle aged lady decked-out in Gucci arrives to the barrier - no hello or greeting, just casually states "Group 1" to the gate agent. Gate agent replies "please take a seat, we've not started boarding group 1 yet". Lady is taken aback "well who are all these people already going through?". Gate agent: "these are passengers who need some extra time to board". Lady: "I need special time to board as my ankle is swollen up and I'm group 1 anyway". Agent sighs but lets her through.
Funny how I saw her literally speed-walking to the gate perfectly fine.
... and this is unfortunately why the lady in question will try this again and again, and more often than not, succeed. Gate agent should have been firm (I can also see the other side, where they probably didn't want to get into an argument over something like this on what is likely a busy flight).
