Pretty embarrassing. Someone from DL needs to take a flight on TK, see the food and service, and visit the lounge in IST and compare to the dump DL uses in JNB.
If you worked in the Delta c-suite and you’re paid bonuses based on profitability… why would you spend more money on JNB lounges or meals since the flights are full and DL already is a market leader in what they charge for the flights? TK sells flights at a discount vs what DL is able to charge.
Anyway, your IST vs JNB comparison is apples and peas. IST vs JFK is more appropriate. Take a look at what TK uses in ATL, and that club is a hole compared to any of ATL’s skyclubs.
