Was IRROPS involved in any of your flights? This does sound bizarre if not. Do you need to apply for Original Routing Credits? This is one heck of a head scratching case IMO.
Have spoken to Platinum support twice and both agents say that when I upgraded the tickets were issued as United ticket numbers. Have got the Avios but still chasing the tier credits.
