I'm also not a fan and have often wondered who they're actually appealing to when I see these sorts of things. But I guess the majority of people must actually like and respond well to this sort of drivel, otherwise they wouldn't be doing it?

Unfortunately I think our society and culture has been 'dumbed down' in recent years and this is just another example of that.
