Well, yes and no. I called to have the new names added to the reservation but the phone agent simply just booked a whole new reservation which should have been totally in the other people's names and not mine. But that's what they did. So, yes, I understand "why" and my question was more rhetorical. But I wasn't expecting any night credit since I didn't stay in the room. I don't try to game the system. And I sure don't care about a 500 point check-in bonus :-D
