P2 is AA Plat, and I just booked her an award flight for tomorrow on AA metal with AS miles. Then went into the AS reservation and added her AA number and now OW Sapphire shows on the res.
Still the trip does not show on the AA trips section of her AA profile, and when I enter the aa conf code under the find trips page and bring up the trip to pick seats its trying to charge her $36 per segment for MCE. Has the system just not synced yet? When will it?
I've gotten this to work fine in the past by entering AA plat on the AS site then picking seats and getting on the upgrade list.
Once you have pulled up the record in AA, navigate to "manage trip", where there is a section that allows you to manually add in the AA#.
then, you will be afforded the elite benefits.
When booking AA partner awards via AS, i never add ANY FF# on the AS side, and always lookup, then add in, my AA# in the AA manage booking section.
