We were fleeced but, honestly, there is nothing that can be done about it. The miles are not worth much, best to just burn them and move on. Trying to find a deal is a fools game.

As I am retired now, I will not be accumulating any more. I just used my last 2MM SM and 8 SWU for three round trips for the wife and I. I'm done and now a free agent for leisure travel! Turkish has some great business class fares, and for many destinations, just book from JFK and many other carriers have good deals as well.
