I think I struggle with the word "flush", since the two sections touch and align at the same level, but one could probably slip a thin piece of paper between the foot-rest and main seat. That photo seems some way off alignment, and a bit of tuning is needed by an engineer to get it better placed.
Yeah, I think more ‘level out’ would be the right term. You could tell something wasn’t right as when you held down the control to make sea seat flat it made some unhappy noises. As I said, the crew seemed to think this was normal so doubt it will be looked at until someone else notices.
