Another passenger in first today tried to order a beer coming down from LGA to DCA. Flight attendant said a new rule went into effect today (October 1) where alcohol is no longer complementary in First Class. When someone questioned her, she said, "check your email." If true, is this related to flight time?
UGH...
I would have happily "paid" for the beverages, and then watched her reaction/excuse when the device didn't have a (seat-dependent) fee attached to any of the liquor and she couldn't charge for it.
