We mostly (pretty much only) eat in northern part of the island. Thalang and up towards the bridge. We have few 'regular' spots in Thalang. Especially at Thep Krasattri along Don Chom Thao Road.
My absolutely favorite restaurant in Phuket is Mee Ton Poe. Best hokien noodle dishes I had in my life. I always eat 2-3 plates because the dishes are not very big, and the waitresses always look at me like I'm crazy Each plate is 70 or 80 Bahts. It's cheap and amazing food. Its located on the opposite side of Tesco, probably quarter mile north of Makro.

For breakfast I would recommend place in Sakhu (10 minutes from the airport). It's called Super Dim Sum. The food was pretty good.

There is plenty of restaurants in Sakhu which are out of the bitten path. These are our to go places.

Last year I went to Bang Tao for the first time to look for places to eat. Got food from few restaurants and it was mediocre at best. I guess they cater to the Russians and they will eat anything when they are drunk.
I never been to Patong so can't comment on restaurants there. We do restaurants in Mai Khao, Naiyang, Sakhu or Thalang. Couple of weeks and I'll enjoy again hokien at Mee Ton Poe too
