DCA-MIA must be a mistake. It still qualifies for a meal under the 900+ mile band unless the band was a longer distance previously and it was an exception market under the old system. Every time I have been upgraded between MIA and DCA in the past few years I have gotten a meal. FLL-DCA, by contrast, which is 857 miles, does not get a meal. There is no more AA MIA-IAD flight, but they do fly to BWI from MIA and I assume those flights also get a meal.
