In my view, Asiana will likely withdraw from Star Alliance around January 2026, and the full merger with Korean Air will be completed by late 2026.

That’s why I expect January 2026 will be the timing of Asiana’s withdrawal from Star Alliance. The postponement of its move from Incheon Airport Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 — mainly to ensure smoother transfers for Star Alliance passengers — aligns with this timeline.
