20 years ago, I worked at a company that provided white-label Auto Assistance services for a lot of the car and insurance companies. Someone made the decision the outsource some of the support to India.
It had to be pulled back after one incident where a customer had been in an accident and in giving their location as being at 7-eleven was asked to spell it. They went ballistic and escalated to the CEO of that car company. There was other such incidents too where there was no cultural context.
