Wanted to mention there are some data points floating out there (and my own experience) that with the recent Plat refresh, it appears Amex is targeting some people for a bonus who already received one before.

My own data point:
- Never received a bonus for a vanilla Plat, but had a Gold card that was converted to a Plat in 2008 (I know... don't ask), which was then downgraded in 2021 and later closed.
- Received a bonus for a MS Plat in 2021, that card is still open

I saw a "recommended" offer for the vanilla Plat in my Amex account after the refresh for 80,000 points after 8k spending. The offer T&C had the standard may not receive bonus if you have or have had any Plat language. I applied, did not receive a pop-up, and the new SUB tracker appears in my account.

The other data points I've seen were also targeted with a 80,000 SUB.
