Regarding CX903/902 it's equipment if on B77W A359/A35K once it gets back to HKG as CX902 it must be ready for 844 to JFK 270 to AMS from HKG.
It used to be that MNL received all sorts of CX aircraft regularly from the 744 to the A35K. It was just luck of the draw which of them you would step into. Now those days are long behind where it is the 773, A330, or occasionally the A32Q that would serve.
