It's not a matter of rioting, but getting stressed and anxious, perhaps repeatedly asking FAs to recheck arrival time/gate or insisting that FAs ask pilots to radio to the airport to tell DL GAs to hold the flight.

Still, I agree that FAs shouldn't lie about this.

As a practical matter, MCT can't be longer for those sitting in the back of aircraft or even those on Basic tickets, nor can it be longer for handicapped individuals, those traveling with children, etc. This is where customers need to be responsible and consider SCT, not just MCT. It might help if DL's online booking procedure were to show connection details more clearly and not display/prioritize total trip time.
