Yes it was the last flight of the day to my destination. Instead of closing the door at T-15, they closed it at T-7, blocked out at T-3 and arrived A-13. Probably 8 people got on the plane between the "by the book" door closure time and the actual door closure time. This was a perfect example of how holding for a few minutes can save a bunch of connections and not make anyone late. Those 8 people would have faced a 12 hour delay had the gate agent closed at D-15 like so many do.
