I have stayed there (Jangala Dunhuang).

Didn't really feel like making a standalone post in the SLH forum so here's a short review.
Its only luxury competition currently is the Dongyi Dunhuang Hotels and Resorts, unfortunately I haven't been there to make a good comparison.
Overall, I enjoyed the property and had a good stay, though it felt like a big miss that they don't have a spa, pool, and gym. One night is sufficient.
Location wise it is 20 minutes outside of the main city by car. I drove myself which is likely what other visitors are doing but it should be easy to get a taxi there. Unfortunately there is pretty much nothing to do in the surrounding area and the best food in town is at the Shazhou Night Market in the middle of the city.
Architecture wise the hotel is very pretty with nice lighting. Note that the hotel doesn't have a pool, the bodies of water in the pictures are just for looks. I also don't think they have a gym.
The room itself was comfortable and overlooks wine grapes and the mountains in the distance. You could almost imagine that this hotel could be located in wine country. Watching the sunset from the roof is quite nice.
The hotel does excel in amenities, offering many local snacks and gifts. There's a complimentary afternoon tea with small bites. There's also a sunset ceremony with small fireworks.
The breakfast was very nice, though I didn't try the dinner.
Service was pretty good, they have some activities like wine grape picking and bicycling depending on the day.
