Regarding the seat - I don't care that much if I am last to deplane, it is more about noise/comfort.
Regarding the bag - so I should just take it with me to the gate and if it is deemed too large they'll just take it at the gate?
I have always been seated in the last 5 rows, never in the front so cant give any answer about noise/comfort. Its no J seat, i can tell you that much
You will have grp 1 in ticket to board, i personally would just go and get on the plane among first to have space in the overheads.
Easiest for you, if you dont mind the wait in GDN, is to check it in and no stress.
