Work out which airline you'll actually be flying on. Lufty Senator status requires 2000 points (a long haul business class leg is 200) BUT at least half of those points have to be on Lufthansa group airlines (so Lufty, Swiss, ITA, Austrian, etc.). So it's no good going to status with LH if the bulk of your flying will be on TK metal.

I'm going for HON Circle with LH next year which requires 6000 points on Lufty group airlines, and only J/F cabins count. So a tall order but by my maths I reckon I'll just about get there.
