The only Jimoto Made item in Tokyo is the Sumida Edo Kiriko glass. That one is only sold in the Starbucks in the Sumida ward (where the workshop that made the glass is located) which includes Kinshicho and the Tokyo Sky Tree.

Price wise - the non-drinkware items are usually cheaper. For example the Higashiyama ornaments are 2,700 each. The Kaga ceramic coasters are 2,300.
But the drinkware prices are more varied - cheapest one I think is the Tsugaru (Aomori) glasses at 4,350, and the most expensive one is the aforementioned Edo Kiriko glass at 42,000. Other drinkware prices hover around the 7,000 - 11,000 yen range.
I take it that these Jimoto Made items are made by workshops in local towns that also produce other mugs and housewares that are not Starbucks-branded?

I like visiting Japan and I keep thinking if it is more cost effective buying these direct rather than paying the sometimes almost 100% markup on eBay.
