I don't really have the fortitude to bother trawling through OTAs. If I find the price acceptable I will book, otherwise I won't.

However, over the years I have read many travel blogs and forum posts which say that every detail of the booking must be identical for a price guarantee to succeed, so if I ever come across an opportunity to submit such a claim, I will know to check the minutiae thoroughly before attempting it.
