Yes, you would think the IB code would be more expensive but for some reason, for this flight, the IB code is about 1/3 cheaper (depending which fare VY fare type and which IB fare type you choose.

I will just buy whatever is the most expensive bundle for the priority etc. which includes both a cabin bag (the one on top of the personal item) and a checked bag I think. I just don't want to check the bag and give Spanish airports/Spanish airlines another opportunity to shaft me by losing the bag.

I get that but I can't work out what VY fare type (and therefore entitlement) IB Comfort translates to. If I can't get a straight answer, I'll probably just buy the VY code even though more expensive to avoid drama...
