We taxied out almost to the runway and then stopped. Turns out the seatbelt sign will not stay on. You can fly with broken bathrooms, but apparently not broken signs.

It’s not the symptom, it’s the disease.
A seatbelt being broken is … a broken seatbelt.
The “fasten seatbelt” sign not staying on is a symptom of … who knows what computer or electrical system fault. Need to figure out what that it or you run the risk of a serious issue on takeoff or in flight.
