We had a two night stay here in mid-September, using points and a FNC, and were upgraded to the Anesis Bungalow, with a good sea view. The hotel’s location a short distance outside of Oia was an advantage for us by avoiding the steep stairs of most Oia hotels. The hotel’s design is very modern and minimalist, which is not my thing, but you can still tell that it is a very new hotel (opened last year). The rooms are all on the ground level, and you enter the rooms from the sliding glass doors to the terrace. As someone who loves to leave curtains open unless sleeping, I found it a bit disconcerting to glance up to see people right outside our window, cleaning the pool, knocking on the glass door to clean the room, even reflected in the bathroom mirror while I was drying off after a shower. But the lounge chairs on the terrace were plush and comfortable, and it was pleasant to sit on the terrace and admire the view, until the fierce winds the island experienced during our stay drove me back inside.

We used the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service (reserve in advance) to go into Oia for dinner one night, but the shuttle’s return was too early for us to be able to use. (The shuttle timing varies with the sunset- 6:30 to Oia, and 8:30 from Oia when we were there, compared to 7 & 9, respectively, when I had checked a couple of weeks before.) The front desk advised us to call them when we were ready for a return taxi, which they could arrange and charge to our room (20€), which seemed pricey but worked quickly and very well. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel’s restaurant was OK, but I’m sure we would have enjoyed both more if it hadn’t been too windy to eat outside. Dinner is normally served on the roof with a great sea view, but with such strong winds they had to serve inside, downstairs in the breakfast room, which lacked the views and atmosphere.
