Yes it is disappointing when service standards slip, Platinum seems to be the new Gold in many ways and the response from the hotel is certainly telling. It it just getting too easy to get Plat, some people get without hardly staying at all these days. It is like they should make Titanium the entry level elite status for benefits like lounges and upgrades. Oh well Marriott doesnt care, they make a killing on the credit cards anyway.
