Uh, not really. Everything changed a little over a month ago for AS. With all due respect if you are assuming "hey doing buyups to F will mean I earn an EQM bonus for every mile I fly like I used to" it seems you are flat out wrong. The Atmos program is going to be dramatically different for earning in 2026 than what you experienced as an MVP100K previously.

Basically if you love how you earn on the UA hamster wheel you will love earning per dollar spent on AS.

(Also it appears buyups to AS F get you zippo, zilch, nada if you choose mileage earning, you just get a mile per mile flown. Essentially anyone who buys AS premium cabin is being pushed to doing revenue-based earning.)

I would check this thread out:

Deconstructing Atmos Rewards - Questions, Ambiguities, Conflicts and Unknowns

A lot of people in that thread going "whoa, AA appears to be a better deal here".

TBH a program where I need to use a spreadsheet complete with a model to figure out how best to earn doesn't strike me as amazing. The good news is AS is going towards a "buy things and get status, we don't care so much about the flying" model which essentially allows you to be disloyal in the air as long as you chuck them some money on the ground.

I'd probably use that UA lifetime status some out of SFO, see which works best for AA/AS, and pick whoever's cheapest/most effective for your travel instead of getting sucked into "loyalty". See where the travel and spend lands you. I think top level status for ALL the airlines is rapidly becoming a mug's game unless you are shoveling a lot of OPM at an airline or you can do a lot of credit card games (if your business can funnel a LOT of spend through an AA credit card you can have AA EP without flying a mile).
