I stay here pretty regularly (because I have to, not necessarily that I want to), and while I appreciate the review, there is quite a lot I disagree with. To preface everything I'm going to type below, I am a fan of the property. Much more so than most people, and I have always had good stays here (particularly the service and food).

I will admit that I have not stayed in a little over a year, so it's possible that it has changed (though judging from the photos, it hasn't), but it's okay to be honest and say the hotel is tired. It has needed a major refresh for a while despite being relatively new overall, and as far as I know it has not received one other than some small refreshes to the rooms themselves (please correct me if I'm wrong).

If you are actually visiting Palm Beach or West Palm, this is not a convenient location. "Steps from Worth Avenue's shops" is just blatant false advertising. It's a good 15 - 20 minute drive (usually the latter, or even longer, thanks the insane traffic down there now). The location is a resort in itself, but it is not convenient for those who want to dine and shop in PB each day. I don't think the Breakers is just good for groups - I'd stay there any day over FS if I actually need to be in PB. Excited for the Vineta to open as well; that will be the most convenient and should be much nicer than Colony, Brazilian, etc.

"The only Four Seasons in Florida with direct beach access" - I mean, okay, technically... If you're reallyyyyy particular. Again, let's be honest - Surf Club is essentially direct beach access considering you cross a small bike path and you're there. FLL - okay, you cross the road - I'll give you that one.

"Loungers cost $300 per day" - I have never once been charged for a lounger and am 99% sure they are included for hotel guests, just as they are at all FS properties. You may be thinking of the cabanas.

I'm not really sure why keep comparing this to Mexico, as they are vastly different destinations in just about every regard other than both having a beach. From your report, I take it that is where your past travel experience is, but to me, this just shows ignorance of the locations. Also, while PB is obviously an expensive place, you seem to think Mexico is a huge discount but you seem to forget (or don't know) that they have a significantly higher sales tax rate than FL, which hugely increases rates there.

Overall I do appreciate the review and glad to see someone else enjoy the hotel as I do feel that most people look down on it. It's far from my favorite, but I happen to be there pretty frequently and always have a nice stay.
