I went. Overall it is nice for the Americas but not elite compared to Middle East/Asia hotels IMO. The property is stunning right on the water.

The rooms are nice but a bit small. The plunge pools aren't worth an extra $400 a night or whatever they are charging, they are literally the size of an Onsen or tub and also may have some wild crabs in it depending on which room you are in

I thought the soft product was sub-standard for a Reserve and went ~6 months after it opened or so so I would have figured it would be a bit smoother.

Would I go back? Probably not, at least immediately. If comparing to something like the Ritz Kapalua sure it's probably nicer (maybe not the golf though…and rooms at Ritz are bigger) but it wasn't a wowed experience.
