So I recently had a DAL-ATL-RDU and I got off the plane in B 17 mins before departure (at the end of A) - that they had bumped up by 5 minutes. The mobile app and rebooking system had already moved me to the next flight, but I went to the gate any way and as I ran up they knew my name so they know even if the system rebooks you.

I've been on the other side of this though and missed the last flight DTW-RDU because they bumped it up by 5 minutes and closed the door 20 minutes before the original departure time.
